 Quay County Clerk’s Press Release

March 19, 2013

 

The Quay County Clerk’s Office is preparing to conduct a Special Election to be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2013. The question on the ballot is as follows:

“Shall Sunday sales of alcoholic beverages by the drink for consumption of the licensed premises of licensees be allowed in the unincorporated areas of Quay County?”

To be eligible to vote in this Special Election, you must be a registered voter in the unincorporated areas of Quay County.  Persons who reside within the city limits of Tucumcari or Village limits of San Jon, Logan and House are not eligible to vote.

Early voting will be conducted Monday through Friday during normal business hours of 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., excluding the lunch hour from 12:00 P.M. to 1:00 P.M., beginning Tuesday, March 26, 2013 and ending Friday, April 19, 2013.

To be eligible to vote in the upcoming Special Election, you must be registered on or before Tuesday, March 26, 2013.  For more information regarding this Election or your eligibility please contact the Quay County Clerk’s Office at 461-0510.
