QUAY COUNTY CLERK'S OFFICE

September 13, 2016

 

A voter registration drive is being conducted by the Quay County Clerk's Office and will continue through Tuesday October 11, 2016, the day registration books close for the General Election.

 
The drive is being conducted to register persons who are not currently registered and to encourage existing voters to update their voter registration with current information. Registration can be done at the County Clerk's Office, Motor Vehicle Departments, Human Services, Municipal Offices, and Mesalands Community College. As well, voters can update their information at the statewide online voter registration system available at http://www.sos.state.nm.us/.

 
Anyone who will be 18 years of age before the General Election, November 8, 2016, is eligible to register and vote.

Absentee voting by mail and in person will begin on Tuesday, October 11, 2016. Voters can request an application to vote by mail at this time by contacting the Quay County Clerk or by accessing the Quay County webpage and filling out the application on the County Clerk link, print it and mail it. The web address is www.quaycounty-nm.gov  

Sample Ballots will be posted at the Quay County Clerk's webpage listed above when they become available. The 2016 General Election Voter Guide with ballot questions and proposed constitutional amendments & general obligation bonds is now available.
